LOCKDOWN OVER! Its finally here - 4 months on since our lockdown in December, but finally we are having the all clear to re-open! We hope you are well and excited to start getting back “normal” life and enjoying the restrictions being lifted, its been a rocky road indeed! BUT here it is! We are officially announcing our reopening for the Monday 17th of May! Although we can technically open from the 3rd, with all the work we have been doing behind the scenes, we have decided to stick to the original date for various reasons! All with the goal of making Fluidity better than ever and improving our customers experience, with a much spruced up venue and our admin infrastructure! The team have been working relentlessly for months and are just as excited as you are to open our home back up to you all! With that, there have been lots of changes that are important to hear, so heres our updates! NEW SESSIONS AND TIMETABLE CHANGES New classes and sessions have been added to help accommodate our demand and also work around our new guidelines and capacities! This includes an additional Youth/Teen class on a Monday , a new Fitness class for adults, as well as the launch of our Tricking session with the new inflatable equipment for our experienced/adult members (a monstrous sized AirTrick!) There are also changes to our prices on just a few sessions. From the off, we have taken huge pride on keeping activities as cheap as we can for you all, but we are however increasing the cost of some of our classes as well as our holiday camps after a serious reflection on how we offer our services. We are sure that you , our valued and loyal customers and students will be understanding of this with everything that's been going on in these difficult times (as is the case with increase in most industries now) - but also we know how much you value the coaching experiences that we offer here in our one of a kind venue , and the need to keep the roof over our head and be able to offer our services! The changes are slight and detailed below. Have no fear though, if you are regular class goer, our memberships will now save you even more if you do regular classes or open session training as the prices on memberships are unchanged and with more perks! NEW SESSIONS After School Club - 4pm - 5pm / 4pm - 5:30pm (£5 or £7 deal!) Youth/Teen Parkour Class (Drop In) - Mon 6:30pm - 7:30pm Fit for Purpose (Adult Fitness Class) - Tues 8:30pm - 9:30pm Home Ed Class - Fri 2pm -3pm Tricks n' Flips - Thurs 6:30pm - 8:00pm PRICE CHANGES Youth + Teen Classes - £9 for PAYG drop in Holiday Camps - £30 per person (£50 for 2 siblings) BOOKING + CAPACITY With our new guidelines from the government and ParkourUK , our capacities for some activities have changed, this means you 100% should book in advance to avoid disappointment , especially for classes and holiday events! Our booking is now LIVE on the updated website , with a new centralised page which gives one place for all activities to book! We anticipate that our regular classes , Little Ninjas and peak Open Sessions will book up in advance so we recommend booking well ahead where possible , as we will have to deny drop ins if we are at capacity! BOOK ONLINE HERE MEMBERSHIPS Another HUGE thank you to our membership holders who have kept rolling their subscriptions to us, at a time when we have zero income aside from limited Government support , it really does make a difference! We are an independent company formed from a grassroots passion of Parkour , and without being able to facilitate any other income streams outside of the Academy, you are helping keep the dream alive! We are changing the way in which our memberships work here at Fluidity , as we finally are able to offer them through our booking platform (as opposed to an external provider "Simply Collect") We are still in the process of finalising this, but the deals are immense for regular practitioners and students! For the kids we are offering amazing open training and class packs, that give ridiculous savings for those that attend classes or open sessions weekly. With a simply monthly payment , you will be allocated the set hours you can book for the appropriate products via a membership code! For adults or our advanced students, we have some great packages that allow really cheap training and access to our our new Tricks n' Flips session , as a way of making regular training affordable for the local freerunning scene! Here is a new Membership Package table that can help show you what you get for each package monthly! You will be able to purchase all these via the booking platform as we migrate over shortly! Our current membership holders will be contacted with how to finish with Simply Collect and switch over to the new platform (which we anticipate will be happening in June/July!) COVID PROCEDURES Covid Rules Much like before, we are still working with covid guidelines regarding masks, sanitisation, social distancing and numbers in the building. Masks are to be worn by anyone over 12 in all communal areas. You do not have to wear a mask whilst sat at your table. If parents do not have to be in the building (or supervising an under 7 on court) it makes a huge difference if you can wait in the car or just drop off/collect. We have 1 way systems for in/out of the building , and sanitisation points dotted around. Shutters are open when possible to allow ventilation and we are wiping down equipment and areas inbetween classes! We will have a statement sent out with all bookings including the health questionnaire for your booking. Covid information will also be on the website. HOLIDAY CAMPS AND CREDIT So with halfterm at the end of May , we already have some Camps lined up and hopefully a Nerf War! These will be bookable too via this link HERE. If you have credit from before Christmas, or a booking to change over get in touch and we will put you in! Huge thanks for taking the time to read our update! So on October 23rd, 2016... we opened our doors to the public, and we have been slammed for 3 years since! To say its flown by is an understatement , but we are putting on a weekend event to say thank you to all the community of practitioners, parents, students , friends and extended Fluidity Family! Saturday 19th All Day Jam - 2pm - 8pm (under 16s till 5pm) Sunday 20th We are hitting a fun day vibe , with our morning Classes, Nerf War + a Superhero Visit! On top of this , we will have food traders, face painting and other activities until 5pm. We look forward to seeing our students here, as well as parents, and new customers! In a post apocalyptic wasteland at Fluidity... there are no more birthday parties... now its just a a battlefield littered with foam bullets.... As you may be aware, we have been running incredibly fun Nerf Birthday Parties at Fluidity for lucky birthday boys and girls. We turn the whole of the Academy into a Nerf battle ground, with tonnes of obstacles for hiding, ducking and dodging bullets, as the perfect playing field for the ultimate in foam warfare. For 1 session only during Summer, this is an open Nerf War Fight for up to 30 participants. The session is 2 hours long ,taking place on August 24th , 12pm - 2pm. The session is available for ages 7+ and costs £10. You are welcome to bring your own Nerf equipment. During the session, we wil gear up, split into teams, and play a series of tactical games across the park, finishing the session with some freeplay. Enter The Dragon weekend is back this July at the start of the School Holidays for our 3rd Welsh Parkour holiday! Over the weekend of the 20th and 21st we got two whole days of activities lined up, with a massive Summer Jam here at Fluidity, followed by our amazing outdoor day of Tuition with our coaches , outdoors in Cardiff. SUMMER JAM AT FLUIDITY ACADEMY Saturday July 20th 2pm - 8pm £15 - Ages 7 + An all day jam for £15 (under 16's can only stay until 5pm) You know the drill! ENTER THE DRAGON III - OUTDOOR TRAINING EVENT Sunday 21st July 11am - 6pm £28 - Ages 7 - 60 To keep to our roots of parkour, we once again invite you to come practice your skills outdoors with our coaches. A huge day training with our coaches set in the lush environment of Bute Park in Cardiff behind the castle. There will be numerous stations throughout the day , with different classes teaching a variety of skills throughout a lush natural environment suitable for all levels of experience. We will have Youth groups, advanced groups and adult groups taking part through the day with our team of Coaches. There are a limited number of spaces for the outdoor event , and a T-shirt will be given with the ticket price for the Sunday participants upon booking and filling out the T-shirt size form. For those that didn't already know, Director and Coach Craig Robinson smashed his way to the end of the semi finals on this years Ninja Warrior UK! With an epic first round blitzed through perhaps a bit too calmly , Craig made it into the Semi Finals for the second time! This time Craig came unstuck towards the end of the run, but not without an epic epic fight. Hanging on for over 4 minutes, Craig battled to get the swing to lock into place to carry on... You could hear a penny drop as the whole room was gripped in this epic feat , before he almost makes it across after somehow locking the swing in! We are massively proud of Craig here at Fluidity, as are all students and parents alike for amazing representation of Parkour on ITVs show! Fluidity Freerun Academy - Live on ITV Wales news at 6 yesterday! ITV came down to visit us the Academy to grab an interview with Craig Robinson after his amazing journey on Ninja Warrior UK! Sport Wales have awarded with a Business Development Grant , the very one we have tried to apply for almost a decade. As freerunning is now a recognised sport , this means we are finally applicable for funding such as this! This funding is a huge step forward , and the first development grant of its kind in Wales for Parkour/Freerunning. With £18,000 awarded, Fluidity will be building new areas and buying new equipment to cater for the running of new sessions, and improvement of current sessions/classes in the club! This will take place over 2019 , so watch this space!

Our grand opening is finally here after some tough months of clearing, decorating and an extensive build unlike any other in the region! We are proudly opening our doors to one of the UK's biggest indoor Parkour/Freerunning and Alternative arts centers, based here in the heart of Cardiff! A massive taster day to kickstart the October Halfterm, you are invited! So once again we were back to work at the immense pop up city of BOOMTOWN. As always ,the festival had un-rivalled line ups, activities and fun around every corner, from the big stages to the hundreds of micro venues, the music and arts on show are insane! This year, instead of our usual gigs for the might Bassline Circus and the workshops up in Kidztown, we were to be performing in Chinatown , the heart of punk and ska at the festival. Donned as your favourite Namco superstar “Streetfighters” , the 8 of us took to the courtyard, providing an array of fights with each other and the public!  Incredible fun, and went down an absolute treat, can’t wait to get involved again next year and take it further! Ninja Warrior is famed for being the toughest assault course on Television! Originally started in Japan with the title “Sasuke”, Ninja Warrior found a huge home in America, and lately in parts of Europe. With thousands of applicants and only a few hundred making it to the heats, only a hand ful have ever made it through the gruelling 3 round challenge. Well this year, the UK’s first ever Ninja Warrior has taken place.   Only 250 contestants were to make it through the auditions and into the heats which took place up in Manchester, late March. Our very own Craig Robinson was one of the lucky applicants that made it through the auditions and into the heats. We can’t say how he did, but you can watch the 8 part series every Saturday , 7pm.
